Ares Operations. Our name is our program. Apart from supporting teams to organize their skirms or OPs, Ares Operations stands responsible for complete events and operations. This ranges from simple Skirms to very complex MilSim operations. In this part of the website all Ares-organized and Ares-cooperated operations will be presented. To keep track with the operations, you can subscribe to the RSS Feed very comfortably.
Ares MilSim OPs are categorized. These categories differ in the complexity and the according requirements for gamers and gear. What all categories have in common is that they all have Situation and a Mission. The complexity is raised by the stage of the category from the lowest stage CAT1 to the most requiring stage CAT3.
CAT1: briefing & debriefing, compact OPs (2-4h "in-time"), usage of short orders, basic Ares Medic Rules, call for a team leader, moderate physical and psychological demands, less numbers of marshals and organizing personnel and requisite material.
CAT2: briefing & debriefing, mostly 6-12h "in-time", creation of a mission plan, realistic Ares casualty/medic rules, simple hierarchy and tasks, increased physical and psychological demands, some elements of the so-called "hard routine" (moderate fitness und willpower is a prerequisite), appropriate equipment und realistic behavior of units and personnel. Increased numbers of marshals und organization personnel and requisite material.
CAT3: briefing & debriefing, mostly 18, 24 or more hours "in-time", creation of complex mission orders and multiple mission plans ("action on"), ultra-realistic Ares casualty/medic rules, authentic hierarchies and tasks, high physical and psychological demands, the so-called "hard routine" (high fitness and willpower are prerequisites), realistic structures, equipment and behavior of units and personnel. Extensive numbers of marshals und organization personnel and requisite material.
